A professional lawyer, he has gained popularity for frequently posting critical videos on social and political issues on social media platforms. Elected as an independent candidate in the 12th National Assembly election, Suman has already participated in two parliamentary sessions. Recently, audio clips purportedly of his speeches from these sessions have been circulating on social media,targetting various ministers and MPs. To verify the legitimacy of the viral video clips, our initial step was to search for the original footage of Barrister Suman’s parliamentary speeches. Since the establishment of the 12th National Assembly, two parliamentary sessions have taken place. During these sessions, newly elected MP Barrister Suman has delivered speeches on two separate occasions. To view Barrister Suman’s speeches in parliament, please follow the provided link:

While Barrister Suman can be seen asking various questions in all these videos, he is not seen directly questioning or criticizing any minister or deputy minister about corruption.
The viral audio clip targeting the Foreign Minister has been manipulated using an old video from 2020. In 2020, Barrister Suman uploaded a video on his verified Facebook page titled ” মাননীয় পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী, আপনার আবেগি বক্তব্য সরকার ও প্রবাসীকে মুখোমুখি (Honorable Foreign Minister, Your Emotional Speech: Government and Expatriates Face to Face”.) In this video, he criticizes a speech by Foreign Minister Abdul Momen about expatriates.
Similarly, the audio clips in the viral video targeting the former Education Minister have been pieced together from other videos and spliced into Barrister Suman’s parliamentary speech video. On January 27, 2022, Barrister Suman uploaded a video on his Facebook page titled “মাননীয় শিক্ষামন্ত্রী, আমাদের নয় আপনার আত্মীয় স্বজনদের শিক্ষা দিন! (Honorable Education Minister, Educate Your Relatives, Not Us!”.) In this video, he raises the issue of 359 crore taka corruption.
The original audio for the viral video where Barrister Suman lambasts the ICT Minister over the reservation theft is taken from his verified Facebook page, uploaded under the title ” বিদ্যুৎ বিলের ধর্ষণকারীদের কি বিচার হবে না!” This video was also uploaded on Facebook in 2020.
Similarly, the audio clip in the viral video where Barrister Suman criticizes the Railway Minister has also been taken from a previously uploaded video on his Facebook page. In a 2022 video titled “রেলের গেইটম্যানের বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নিলে মাননীয় রেল মন্ত্রীর বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নয় কেন? (Why No Action Against Honorable Railway Minister When Action Was Taken Against Railway Gateman?”), Barrister Suman raises concerns about the railway sector. It is in this video that he alleges 196 crore taka corruption in the railways.
In another viral video, Barrister Suman is seen addressing Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Kader as “crow”. A keyword search reveals that Barrister Suman used the word “crow” during the 12th National Assembly election campaign, not referring to Obaidul Kader. See the video here.
