Claim- BGB warns BSF, says Hasina no longer runs the country.
Fact- The viral video showing BGB warning BSF is AI-generated.
Recently, a video of an altercation between BSF and BGB members at the India-Bangladesh border has been circulated on the social media platform TikTok. Along with the video, it is claimed that a BGB official warned a BSF official during the incident, saying, “Remember, we aren’t sitting idly by. We aren’t here to play games. Be careful from now on.”
In the circulated video, the BGB official is heard saying, “You are going too far. Sheikh Hasina is no longer running the country. Do not try to show off your bravery inside Bangladesh. If you fire upon any citizen at the border, we too will be forced to fire back at you. Remember, we aren’t sitting idly by. We aren’t here to play games. Be careful from now on. We want to maintain peace at the border.”

A reverse image search of keyframes from the viral video led to the original report published on January 18, 2025, on the English website of Somoy TV, headlined “BSF violated int’l law by using sound grenades along border: BGB.”
In reality, the controversial video was fabricated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, superimposing synthesised audio and movement onto an authentic still photograph of the BGB-BSF dialogue featured in the original news report.
For deeper authentication, the footage was transmitted to the Deepfake Analysis Unit of the Trust Information Alliance. Their technical evaluation conclusively identified the video as an AI-generated manipulation. Furthermore, Hive Moderation, a widely utilised AI detection tool, flagged the video as being 82% AI-generated, reinforcing the consensus that the clip is entirely fraudulent.
