Recently, a video circulated on the social media platform TikTok claiming that former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended a gathering in the United States to celebrate Donald Trump’s recent election victory.

Fact
To verify the claim’s authenticity, a reverse image search was conducted on key frames from the video. This search led to a report published in 2018 by the Dhaka Tribune, which featured the same image.
According to the article’s caption, U.S. President Donald Trump spoke with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during a break at a high-level meeting at the United Nations headquarters in New York in September 2017.
Furthermore, the original video was also found on Al Jazeera’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, posted on September 19, 2017.
In addition, multiple Bangladeshi news outlets reported on this meeting at the time, which can be viewed here and here.
In summary, the video showing a conversation between Donald Trump and Sheikh Hasina at the United Nations headquarters in 2017 is being falsely promoted as a recent video.
