Fact

Reverse image search on the image in the viral video leads to a video uploaded on December 20, 2024, on the YouTube channel named ‘thb bangla’. This 2-minute, 12-second-long video matches the video circulated with the discussed claim.
The caption of the video mentions that Dr Yunus went to the hospital after the death of A. F. Hasan Arif, the Interim Government’s aviation, tourism and land adviser. The footage shown in the video is also stated to be of that incident.
Additionally, on the same date—i.e., December 20, 2024—another video of the same event from a different angle is found on the YouTube channel of mainstream media ‘Somoy TV’. The footage in that video matches the one circulated with the discussed claim, and the caption also mentions the same information. On December 20, 2024, A F Hasan Arif passed away.

In other words, the circulated video is not related to the claim that Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus went to the hospital to see the ailing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia recently. Furthermore, no news has been found of Dr Yunus visiting the hospital recently to see Khaleda Zia. However, Dr Yunus has expressed deep concern over Khaleda Zia’s illness in a statement and requested prayers from the people of the country for her quick recovery.

Therefore, the video circulated with the claim that Dr Muhammad Yunus went to the hospital to see the ailing Khaleda Zia is actually an old video of Dr Yunus visiting Hasan Arif, meaning the claim is false.
