Recently, a video of a mother being beaten to death in front of her child has been circulating on the social media platform Facebook with the claim that the incident is from Bangladesh.

Fact
To verify the authenticity of the matter, keyframes obtained from the video were reverse image searched, through which a report published with an attached video on April 12 was found on the website of the Indian media outlet Bhaskar.
The video attached to the said report matches the video circulated with the claim in question. The report states that on April 11, in Muzaffarpur, Bihar state of India, a husband beat his wife to death in front of their child for stopping him from taking drugs. The deceased woman’s name is Mehrunnisa (30) and the accused’s name is Kalimullah.
Moreover, news on the matter has been published by The Times of India and NDTV with the same information.
Therefore, the scene of a mother being beaten to death in front of her child in Bihar, India, has been circulated with the false claim that it is an incident from Bangladesh, which is completely false.
