Recently, an item song video purportedly of Prarthana Dighi, formerly popular as a child artist, has gone viral on social media platforms. See the posts here and here. See the screenshots of the viral video here:
In the viral video actress Dighi is seen dancing in an item song. Several netizens criticised the actress believing the viral video as a real one.

Fact check/Verification
With the help of reverse image search on the key frames of the viral video we found a a video on YouTube with a similar dance sequence. The video, titled “Mera Piya Ghar Aya 2.0”, was released by Zee Music on October 8, 2023. See the video here- Zee Music Co.
The viral video of Dighi dancing closely resembles a portion of Zee Music’s original video featuring Sunny Leone. The background, choreography, other dancers, attires, and ambience in this particular segment are strikingly similar.
Considering the findings, it is apparent that the viral video is a fabricated version of hindi song ‘Mere Piya Ghar Aya 2.0’ where Dighi’s face was superimposed on Sunny Leone’s body using deepfake technology with the help of an AI tool.
Deepfake technology leverages machine learning algorithms, a branch of artificial intelligence (AI), to craft realistic and potentially deceptive digital media content. This technology essentially entails the manipulation of existing photos, videos, or audio recordings, fabricating scenarios that never transpired in reality.

Conclusion
Therefore, the viral video of Prarthana Fardin Dighi’s item song is not an original music video. Instead it’s a manipulated hindi song where Dighi’s face was superimposed on Sunny Leone’s body using AI tool.
