Claim – Education Minister Ehsanul Haq Milon has been arrested. SSC examination has been cancelled.
Fact – The news clip circulated in connection with demands for the education minister’s arrest is not recent.
A news clip has recently gone viral on TikTok in connection with demands for the arrest of Education Minister Ehsanul Haq Milon. In the video, it is further claimed that the Secondary School Certificate examination‑2026 has been cancelled. See the viral videos here: here, here, here, and here.
Newschecker has verified that the viral claim is false.
To verify the claim that the education minister Ehsanul Haq Milon has been arrested, we first conducted keyword searches for relevant terms. In the process, we found a 2018 news clip from Boishakhi TV that is similar to the viral video. See it here: Ehsanul Haq Milon to jail.
The detailed report states that the former BNP education state minister and International Affairs secretary and former education minister Ehsanul Haq Milon, has been directed to be sent to jail in connection with three of 26 cases. The video was published in November 2018.

The same video also claims that the SSC and all similar‑level examinations in 2026 have been cancelled due to the education minister’s arrest. The claim is proven false. On 21 April 2026, the SSC and similar‑level exams commenced successfully and were conducted as scheduled. See the schedule here: Prothom Alo. Thus, the viral claims are false.
Therefore, the videos circulated in connection with the claim that the education minister has been arrested or that the SSC examination has been cancelled are not recent. In other words, the claims are false.
