Fact

To verify the authenticity of the viral video, a reverse image search of keyframes from the video led to a video published on Somoy TV’s YouTube channel on August 17, 2022, titled “Awami League on the streets after almost two and a half years!” The video circulated with the claim, shows a clear resemblance to this video.

It can be seen that the 00:01 to 00:32 portion of the video was used in the circulated video. The video description states that in protest of the nationwide series of bomb attacks in 2005, the then-ruling party, Bangladesh Awami League, organised a protest rally and demonstration in the capital. A large number of Awami League leaders and activists from various police stations and wards of Dhaka city participated in the program in front of the Engineers Institution.

Moreover, multiple news outlets published reports on the matter at that time, which can be seen here and here.

Therefore, the video circulated as a recent rally of the Bangladesh Awami League is a video of a protest rally from 2022, and the claim is false.
