AajTak Bangla recently aired a report on their YouTube channel (uploaded May 3, 2025) alleging that Bangladesh’s interim government head, CA Dr. Muhammad Yunus, was photographed shaking hands with Pakistani generals. The report, which questioned the identity of these “Pakistani Army officers,” was titled with a query. This claim subsequently spread across social media platforms. See posts here.

Reverse image searches confirmed that the video, falsely presented as showing Pakistani generals with Dr. Muhammad Yunus, is actually from the inauguration of ‘Bangladesh Police Week 2025.’ A similar video with the title ‘CA at the inaugural ceremony of Bangladesh Police Week 2025’ was found on Bangla Vision’s official YouTube channel, corroborating this finding. Multiple mainstream media outlets have confirmed that the officers depicted in the khaki uniforms are members of the Bangladesh Police, not Pakistani generals, contradicting the initial false telecast. See reports here- Daily Amar Desh, Somoy TV.
Moreover, the press wing of CA fact check, the official handle, has confirmed that the news published and claimed by AajTak Bangla is fake. Which Bangladesh Police‘s official FB page shared as well later.
Multiple sources confirm the falsehood of the claim that the police officers in the video have any connection to the Pakistan Army. The video, provided to the media by the press wing of CA, shows CA Professor Dr. Yunus rewarding 62 police officers, including three Additional Inspectors General of Police. The CA press wing has verified that the video captures this event.
